The Vrije Universiteit Brussel uses cookies to facilitate your visit to the website and make it more pleasant.

Google Analytics

This website installs a cookie from the American company Google. We use this service to track how (many) visitors use the website and based on this information to improve the website for users. Google can pass this information on to third parties if Google is required by law to do so, or if third parties process the information on behalf of Google. VUB has no influence over this.

As far as possible, the information Google gathers is rendered anonymous. Your IP address or other personal information (name, payment details, etc.) are expressly not shared.

The information is stored by Google on servers in the United States and other locations. Google abides by the Safe Harbor principles and is affiliated with the Safe Harbor programme of the US Department of Commerce. This means that there is an adequate level of protection for the processing of any personal information.

Social media: Facebook and Twitter (third-party cookies)

This website also includes buttons to be able to promote or share pages on the social networks Facebook and Twitter. These social media buttons work with cookies from third parties (Facebook, Twitter). However, these cookies are only installed if you click these links.
